We launched Catalyst on October 8, and we're excited to get it in your hands! You can read more in our launch tweet. Launch week was also a busy one for shipping.

Resolved Polymarket positions now show the right values, prediction market charts match live odds, and one strategy action can cover an entire asset list. Here's everything we shipped.

TLDR:

  • Polymarket chart endpoints now match live odds in the final minutes of short markets.
  • Live Polymarket prices now appear in portfolio holdings, and Polymarket position value, average entry, and profit and loss now calculate correctly for resolved positions.
  • Apply one buy or sell action to an entire asset list from a single strategy run.
  • Failed Quick Trade buy messages now explain what went wrong and what to try next.
  • Catalyst improved Hyperliquid data, Solana settlement, and candlestick chart rendering this release.

What's New on Catalyst

This edition covers everything we released from October 2 to October 9, 2026, including Catalyst's launch on October 8. Thank you to everyone who tried Catalyst, shared feedback, and joined the waitlist.

Portfolio and performance

Saved display preference: Your Price / Market cap selection now carries across portfolio holdings, positions, and chat Performance. Click a token once for its own drilldown, then click again to return to the full token list.

Holdings and position updates

Hover for historical equity: Hover over the Performance chart to see historical equity and its timestamp above the chart. Move your cursor away to restore the current balance.

  • Cash out one holding: Use Cash out on supported Total Assets rows to sell that holding across every strategy holding it. Proceeds return to Catalyst Cash, and your other holdings stay unchanged.
  • Polymarket performance fixes: Position value, average entry, and profit and loss are now calculated correctly, so resolved positions no longer show inflated values.

Quick Trade

Instant sidebar updates: New positions appear right away in the sidebar Positions widget, so you can confirm a trade went through without reloading anything.

Trade approval confetti: Confetti appears when a trade is approved. If Require confirmation is turned on, it plays after you tap the confirmation button instead.

Clearer failed buy messages: If a buy fails, you now see what went wrong and what to try next, in place of a generic error.

Trade Setup and Settlement Fixes

Trade setup and settlement are also more reliable:

  • Hyperliquid stock perpetual estimates: Order estimates now load on stock perpetual markets where they previously failed to appear.
  • Account mode after funding: The Hyperliquid account mode label no longer shows as unavailable right after you fund your account.
  • Solana sponsored gas fix: When Catalyst covers the network fee for a Solana purchase, that trade no longer gets stuck showing “Needs attention.” It now finishes like any other completed trade.

Strategies and workflows

List-wide trade actions: Apply one buy or sell action to an entire asset list found during a strategy run, so a single action can cover every asset in that list instead of repeating the same steps one by one. For example:

Follow selected X accounts, buy stocks they flag as bullish, and sell those they flag as bearish.

Historical candle matching: Strategies can now line up past price history from different sources by timestamp. This makes breakout style strategies possible, such as acting when price moves past a previous high or low.

Draft and live checks: More thorough draft checks catch problems before you approve a strategy and commit funds. Once live, clearer displays show run frequency and edits made directly in the strategy graph.

Prediction markets (Polymarket)

Chart and odds alignment: In the final minutes of a short Up/Down market, the chart's endpoint now matches the live odds shown in the outcome rows, so both display consistent numbers as the market nears resolution.

Polymarket updates also improve widgets, search, and holdings:

  • Event widget visibility: Event widgets stay visible when a sub-market's supplementary statistics are missing.
  • Deduplicated search: Quick Trade search no longer shows duplicate Polymarket results, making it easier to select your intended market.
  • Live pricing on holdings: Portfolio holdings now use live Polymarket prices, so you can review your positions at current market prices.

Markets and charts

Sharper charts: A layout fix removes blur from candlestick charts, and corrected page layouts make browsing trading opportunities easier.

  • New signal source: Reuters posts from X are now available as social signals you can use as inputs to your strategy logic.
  • Clearer tickers: Hyperliquid stock perpetual holdings now show plain tickers and icons. An NVDA holding shows NVDA, with no internal prefix.

Reliability and fixes

Faster Hyperliquid data: A better data provider improves the speed and reliability of Hyperliquid market data you see on Catalyst.

Status page visibility: If a Hyperliquid estimate fails to load, check our public status page, which now shows Hyperliquid estimate issues so you can spot a service problem.

FAQ

How do I cash out one holding without affecting other positions?

Use Cash Out on a supported Total Assets row. It sells that holding across every strategy holding it and sends proceeds to Catalyst Cash, while other holdings stay unchanged.

Why did Polymarket odds differ between the chart and outcome rows?

This happened in short Up/Down markets during the final minutes before resolution. Catalyst corrected the chart endpoint to match the live odds in the outcome rows, so both now show the same number.

Can I apply one buy or sell action to a whole asset list?

Yes. The strategy builder lets you apply one buy or sell action to an entire asset list from a single strategy run, instead of repeating the steps for each asset.

Are Reuters posts from X now usable as a social signal in strategies?

Yes. Reuters posts from X are now available as a social signal source, so you can use them as inputs to your strategy logic.

How are Hyperliquid stock perpetual tickers shown in the portfolio?

Hyperliquid stock perpetual holdings now display standard tickers and recognizable icons, so an NVDA position shows as NVDA, without the internal prefix.
